MANUFACTURER OF LAC RESIN

What is Lac?
Lac is the only natural resin if animal origin. It is the hardened secretion of tiny insect known as lac insect or Laccifer (Tachardia) lacca Kerr (Fam. Coccidae)
The lac insect sucks the sap from small branches of some trees (Chamcha in Thailand, Kusumi in India etc.) then secretes through its pores the lac resin.

What is Sticklac?
When thousands of these insects accumulate, large quantities of lac resin is produced by them on the branches of these trees. The resinous encrustation obtained from the twigs by scraping is known as sticklac.

What is Seedlac?
Sticklac is refined through coarse crushing, repeated washing with water that remove much of the impurities till the wash water become colorless . The dried lac grains are called seedlac.

Application of Seedlac
Seedlac has a wide range of application and is used as a raw material for Shellac and Aleuritic Acid.
